I like conclusions. They tend to put things into perspective and help to move on. We had our last globalization class today. Vivian, our culture and health professor and fellow yoga teacher, went home because her son Ralando is sick. We were all in shock when we heard, but sluggishly pulled ourselves together and continued on to celebrate Chris and Karli's birthday. That's what IHP is about: seeing that events and emotions are merely temporary.
I went skydiving yesterday. Beyond words. I kept thinking, this is unreal. It didn't even feel like I was falling. Katie V. and I lay in the landing zone sand and thought, what is gravity? and how weird is it that humans can manipulate it for their convenience and enjoyment. Globalization can it part be due to conquering the sky--and land, and electrcity, and waves. I'm thankful for my science background, but what the hell.
We have a paper for "Stuff of life," and a wine festival to go to this weekend.
Peace
